Sydney climbs four places to be 27th in the world
The University of Sydney has been ranked 27th in the world by the US 高清福利片 Best Global Universities rankings, capping off a strong performance across the world rankings in 2019.

The University of Sydney has been ranked 27th in the world and second in Australia by the US 高清福利片 Best Global Universities rankings .

An improvement on last year鈥檚 position of 31st, the result caps off a strong performance across this year鈥檚 world rankings, including the University retaining its position in the top 50 of the QS World University Rankings and rising in the Times Higher Education global reputation ranking.

Established in 2014, the US 高清福利片 Best Global University rankings are designed to provide prospective students with insights into which international schools are world-renowned and are entirely based on institutions鈥 academic research performance.

They use Clarivate Analytics InCites to rank the top 1,250 institutions globally and focus on global research performance indicators such as reputation, publications, books, conferences, international collaborations and citations.

The US 高清福利片 rankings are dominated by US-based universities, and the University of Sydney鈥檚 position places it in the top 10 universities based outside of the US. Only two Australian universities feature in the top 30 globally.

Harvard University was again ranked as the top institution, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University. Only two non-US universities make up the top 10, with UK universities Oxford and Cambridge ranked fifth and ninth respectively.
