Since graduating in jewellery and sculpture from Sydney College of the Arts, designer Marc 高清福利片on has gone on to become arguably one of the most influential designers of his generation. Hear him discuss his career, design practice and the themes that have informed his work.

Marc 高清福利片on is one of the world鈥檚 most innovative, versatile and high-profile global designers. Working across a wide range of disciplines, his clients include companies such as Apple, Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Herm猫s, Nike, Dom P茅rignon, and Jaeger-LeCoultre. He also served as Creative Director of Qantas Airways (2005-2015) and Designer for Special Projects at Apple since his first involvement in the design of the 鈥楢pple Watch鈥 (2014).

After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1986, his first solo exhibition at the age of 23 featured his a riveted aluminium chaise longue that has arguably become one of the most iconic contemporary design works. 高清福利片on鈥檚 work is now held in the collections of major museums including the Museum of Modern Art聽(New York), Smithsonian Design Museum聽(New York),聽San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the聽Design Museum听(尝辞苍诲辞苍),听V&A Museum听(尝辞苍诲辞苍),听Mus茅e National d鈥橝rt Moderne, Centre Pompidou听(笔补谤颈蝉),听Vitra Design Museum听(骋别谤尘补苍测),听Powerhouse Museum聽(Sydney), and the聽National Gallery of Victoria聽(Melbourne). He has recently been appointed Chair of the London聽Design Museum鈥檚 International Design Council.

Presently residing in London where his company is based, Marc 高清福利片on will join Sydney College of the Arts Director, Andrew Lavery in an online conversation.聽 Together they will discuss his work and client base which spans a wide range of disciplines from manufacturing and technology to transportation, fashion, and the luxury goods sector, as well as advice he would offer about paths to take in creative practices and careers.
