University of Sydney ranks number one in public health
The University of Sydney has been ranked first in the Asia-Pacific region and 18th globally in the 2017 Academic Ranking of World Universities for public health.
Head of the University of Sydney School of Public Health, Associate Professor Joel Negin commends the achievement of the school.

With more than 1400 universities from 80 countries published in the , the ranking was determined by a series of indicators such as research productivity, research quality, the number of papers authored by an institution in an academic subject, extent of international collaboration, and the number of staff winning awards in an academic subject.
