The course resolutions detailed in this page apply to all courses included in the table below under section 1 (course codes).
These resolutions must be read in conjunction with applicable University By-laws, Rules and policies including (but not limited to) the University of Sydney (Coursework) Rule 2014 (the 'Coursework Rule'), the Coursework Policy 2021 (the 'Coursework Policy'), the Learning and Teaching Policy 2024, the Resolutions of the Faculty, University of Sydney (Student Academic Appeals) Rule 2021, the Academic Integrity Policy 2022 and the Academic Integrity Procedures 2022. Current versions of all policies are available from the Policy Register:聽

(1)聽Candidates must complete requirements full-time over two consecutive semesters.
(2)聽If the relevant delegate is satisfied that a student is unable to attempt the course on a full-time basis, they may permit the student to undertake it part-time over four consecutive semesters.聽
(1)聽To qualify for admission, a student must:聽
(a)聽have completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (or equivalent) including a major in the proposed honours subject area at the University of Sydney, or equivalent studies at another institution; and
(b)聽have a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65 or equivalent or a higher mark in the proposed honours subject area; and
(c)聽meet any other requirements for honours entry set by the Faculty of Science.
(1)聽The units of study that may be taken are set out in the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (Honours) Table.
(2)聽To qualify for the award of the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (Honours), a candidate must successfully complete 48 credit points of units in the Honours subject area.
(3)聽No credit can be granted for units completed in the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience or other undergraduate degree.
(1)聽The Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (Honours) is awarded in classes ranging from First Class to Third Class as set out in the Coursework Policy and the Resolutions of the University of Sydney Faculty of Science.
