SAGE Business Case Workshop
Maximising the educative impact of your research
Interested in turning your quality research on Southeast Asia into a practical teaching resource, accessible around the world? Join us for a special one-hour workshop on how to publish with SAGE Business Cases, a renowned collection of over 4,000 case studies used for teaching and classroom discussion.
Who:聽Academics with interests in Southeast Asia who are currently employed at or affiliated with the University of Sydney聽
When:聽Friday 8 April 2022, from 11:00-12:00 (AEDT)
Where:聽Online via Zoom
聽is聽a 4,000+ case collection聽that is indexed on Google Scholar and sold to academic libraries. Once a university library subscribes to the collection, all of its students, faculty, and alumni have free, unlimited access to the cases (though only authenticated faculty can view teaching notes).聽
Part of this collection are聽鈥攁n elite collection of cases that are commissioned, developed, and published by SAGE on a wide variety of subject areas, from economic history to entrepreneurship, sustainability and social impact. All cases go through a double-blind peer review and developmental editing and include teaching notes, discussion questions, and learning outcomes.
鈥淲e focus on acquiring cases that鈥攏o matter the subject or academic level鈥攁sk students to think critically and apply history and theory to real-world situations,鈥� SAGE notes. 鈥淲e are also publishing cases that ask readers to consider different cultural contexts and economic perspectives.鈥�

In this practical one-hour workshop, Professor Michele Ford and Raphael Jackson, Associate Editor of SAGE Business Cases, will take you through a range of tips for developing effective case writing and getting your case study published with SAGE.聽
Please note that attendance is strictly limited to academics at the University of Sydney.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this workshop, applicants must be:
- a SSEAC member (free to join)
- an academic affiliated with or employed at the University of Sydney
- conducting research on any of the countries within Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam), or Southeast Asia as a region
