Benefits

Four Scholarship amounts are offered based on ranking against the selection criteria:

I.Ìý $10,000 in total towards academic tuition fees across the first three semesters. The $10,000 will be split evenly across the first three associated semesters, or

II.Ìý $20,000 in total towards academic tuition fees across the first three semesters. The $20,000 will be split evenly across the first three associated semesters, or

III.Ìý $30,000 in total towards academic tuition fees across the first three semesters. The $30,000 will be split evenly across the first three associated semesters, or

IV.Ìý Ìý$40,000 in total towards academic tuition fees split evenly across the first four semesters.

Who's eligible

You must:

  • have an unconditional offer of admission for the MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) within the University of Sydney Business School at the University of Sydney.

Students currently enrolled in the University of Sydney MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) and employees of the University of Sydney are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

1.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Background

a.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Established in 2025, this Scholarship is generously funded by the University of Sydney Business School to assist students commencing the Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Technology and Digital Strategy) at the University of Sydney.

2.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Eligibility

a.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Applicants must have an unconditional offer of admission for the MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) within the University of Sydney Business School at the University of Sydney.

b.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Students currently enrolled in the University of Sydney MBA (Technology and Digital Strategy) and employees of the University of Sydney are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

3.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Selection Criteria

a.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:

Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý I.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý academic merit, and

ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý II.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý a personal statement which demonstrates why the applicant would benefit from the scholarship, their academic achievements, community involvement, extra-curricular activities, leadership qualities, and awards and recognition.

b.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Shortlisted applicants may be requested to attend a video conference interview.

c.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of a selection committee consisting of the Director, MBA, or their nominated delegate, and at least one representative of the MBA Program.

4.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Value

a.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Four Scholarship amounts are offered based on ranking against the selection criteria:

I.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý $10,000 in total towards academic tuition fees across the first three semesters. The $10,000 will be split evenly across the first three associated semesters, or

II.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý $20,000 in total towards academic tuition fees across the first three semesters. The $20,000 will be split evenly across the first three associated semesters, or

ÌýII.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý $30,000 in total towards academic tuition fees across the first three semesters. The $30,000 will be split evenly across the first three associated semesters, or

IV.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý $40,000 in total towards academic tuition fees split evenly across the first four semesters.

b.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The scholarship amount will be indicated in the offer letter and awarded by the MBA Team.

c.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of Director, MBA and it is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university.

d.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

e.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý No other amount is payable. Recipients are responsible for the payment of the Student Services Amenities Fee (SSAF).

5.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Ongoing eligibility

a.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester.

b.Ìý Ìý Ìý The Scholarship recipient must maintain a continuous enrolment of minimum 18 credit points per year, unless under exceptional circumstances approval is granted by the Director MBA to enroll in less than 18 credit points in any given year.

c.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Suspension of the scholarship is only permitted under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the relevant Associate Dean (or their nominee).

6.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Termination

a.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

I.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,

II.Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìýdoes not maintain satisfactory academic performance,

III.Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý does not meet the minimum enrolment load requirement without prior permission from the Director, MBA

ÌýIV.Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,

V.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý is awarded an alternative primary scholarship. In such circumstances this scholarship will be terminated in favour of the alternative scholarship where the alternative scholarship is of higher value,

VI.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý has outstanding unpaid academic tuition fees,

VII.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or

VIII.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.

b.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.

c.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or withdraws from the relevant course, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.

7.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Representation

a.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The recipient will be invited to promote the MBA Program and represent the University of Sydney Business School at student orientation, marketing and corporate networking events.
