This project will validate scale items measuring fear of cisgenderism and cissexism using preliminary scale items developed from our earliest interview-based study (ethics reference number) previous qualitative research and thematic analysis with trans participants discussing their experiences of cisgenderism and cissexism and previous Delphi panel (ethics reference number) where experts in cisgenderism and cissexism confirmed the face validity of the scale items. The results of the study will inform the validity and reliability of a Fear of Cisgenderism and Cissexism Scale.
