Who we are

The Sydney Manufacturing Hub delivers cutting-edge expertise in additive manufacturing and materials processing to serve both fundamental and applied research.

A manufacturing-focussed research facility, we offer research and industry concept-to-production demonstration capabilities, including advanced pre- and post-processing of materials.

Our expert staff help you get the most from the state-of-the-art tools and techniques in additive manufacturing and materials processing.

Provide us with your project goals and requirements, and our staff will put together a tailored registration and training program to ensure that you can make the most of our facilities.

  1. DzԲܱٲپDz.Once we receiveyour project enquiry, our staff will work with you to put together a viable project design, taking into account factors such as experimental scope, instrument requirements, and budget.
  2. پپDz.We will assist you in registering your project and will guide you through any necessary formalities prior to project commencement.
  3. ԻܳپDz.We will organise a bespoke instrument training program specific to your needs, giving you autonomous access to our facilities to complete your project.

Rates are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and exclude GST unless otherwise specified. Fees are reviewed annually; prices accurate for 2026.

Sydney Manufacturing Hubis scheduled to transition to a new booking platform, SydneyFMS, from 7October 2025.

To facilitate the transition our existingEZbooking system will run concurrently with SydneyFMS for a short time and the following booking limitations will apply.

  • Bookings for usage up to and including20October should be made inEZbooking.
  • Bookings for21Octoberor later should be made in SydneyFMS after it becomes available.
  • No bookings for 21 Octoberor later can be made in EZBooking.

Recent usage data and existing equipment booking rights will be transferred to this new system.
