Audiences in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Griffith will have the opportunity to see the Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra (CJO), Australia鈥檚 most celebrated jazz orchestra, perform live, led by Artistic Director David Theak.
The annual tour will run from 15 to 25 September.

The CJO鈥檚 19 musicians - combining the exhilarating sounds of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, guitar, piano, bass and drums - will tour a magnificent program. Featuring the incredible music of Andrew Murray, Josh Kyle, Georgie Darvidis, Jim McNeely, Bert Joris, Maria Schneider, Bob Brookmeyer, Australian guitarist James Muller and more, the pieces perfectly capture the energetic and brilliant spirit of the orchestra.

Since its inception in the early 1970s, the Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra is renowned for its artistic excellence and has formed alumni that features many of the leading lights in Australian jazz.
The Sydney Conservatorium of Music鈥檚 has developed rapidly with an emphasis on collaborating with and performing the music of leading international composers. Students are exposed to outstanding music and contemporary techniques required to perform Jazz Orchestral music at its highest level.
