Sydney accepting the best students from Vietnam
鈥淚n just one year we have seen a 50 percent increase in the number of international students from Vietnam studying at the University of Sydney,鈥� said University of Sydney鈥檚 Vice-Chancellor and Principal Dr Michael Spence.
鈥淭his is a testament to both the quality of students from Vietnam 鈥� as the University of Sydney only accepts the best quality students 鈥� and the quality of education the University of Sydney provides.鈥�
鈥淚 would encourage any high school or university student in Vietnam interested in studying at an Australian university to attend one of our information days.鈥�
Choosing a university and course are big decisions, so it鈥檚 important students explore their options and get their burning questions answered.
Once I learnt more about the University of Sydney I couldn鈥檛 imagine studying anywhere else. The experience here has really opened doors for me.
Bachelor of Science and Master of Nutrition student Kian Dang Khoa advised any students interested in studying overseas to make sure they do their research.

Through these programs I鈥檝e been able to gain exposure to the research industry and I can now see a clear career pathway for me. The programs have given me an opportunity to be part of research in renewable energy and membranes, as well as for Batten鈥檚 disease, a neurodegenerative disease in children.鈥�
The are a perfect opportunity to uncover why the University of Sydney has been ranked fourth in the world for graduate employability and first in Australia for student experience and campus culture.
Founder and CEO of Minh Bui studied agricultural economics at the University of Sydney, which he said gave him the confidence he needed to set up a successful business career in Vietnam.
鈥淭he education I received at the University of Sydney gave me a good background to work as a commodities trader and then to open my own business in Vietnam. Not only did it give me the knowledge I needed it also gave me confidence in my own thinking and abilities.

It also has a great education system. It鈥檚 rare that you get the best of both worlds, a developed education system so close to Vietnam.鈥�
This year, high school students who graduate with the Vietnamese High School Graduation Certificate obtained from a high school for gifted students with the necessary GPA will be eligible for direct entry. The entry score required for admission into an undergraduate program can be found听.
In the past these students would have had to undertake听foundation studies before being able to apply for direct admission.
