In what is being seen as an 鈥渋ncredible reflection on the quality of its students鈥�, the 聽(FT)聽has also ranked the Business School鈥檚 MMgt at number one in the world in the specific area of career progress made by graduates.

The School鈥檚 overall move from 44^th place in 2016 to 25^th this year has been described by the Dean, Professor Greg Whitwell, as 鈥渢hrilling鈥� while the Deputy Dean, Professor John Shields, said the rankings were 鈥渁 superb result, particularly on the job placement and career progression front鈥�.

鈥淎t a time when Australian universities are under challenge from international competitors, our dramatic rise in the FT rankings can be attributed to high quality education based on experiential learning and a close relationship with 聽our key corporate partners,鈥� added the Acting Associate Dean (Programs), Associate Professor Rae Cooper.

The latest Financial Times global MMgt rankings come only days after the ranked the Business School鈥檚 MBA as the nation鈥檚 number one program of its kind.

This success is seen by Professor Whitwell as a 鈥渢estimony to the School鈥檚 ability to be truly world class鈥�. Commenting further on the MMgt results, he said it was 鈥渆xtraordinary to have such a leap in the rankings in what is a highly competitive market鈥�.

The FT this year ranked 95 of the world鈥檚 leading business School. Along with the University of Sydney Business School, the top 25 included Switzerland鈥檚 University of St Gallen; HEC Paris; Rotterdam School of Management; Stockholm School of Economics; University College, Dublin; City University CASS, London and St Petersburg State University.

The School has been ranked at number two in the Asian region.

The m, which is offered by an alliance of 30 business schools globally, including the University of Sydney Business School, was ranked by the FT this year at 9^th in the world.

Professor Whitwell concluded by saying that the rankings reflected 鈥渢he quality and diversity of our students and the camaraderie they experience and the enthusiasm and drive they generate.鈥�
