Students and staff offered funding to collaborate with Harvard

Did you know we鈥檙e Harvard鈥檚 most important collaborator in medicine? Learn more about a special opportunity to conduct research at the Ivy League institution.

The University of Sydney has strengthened its partnership with Harvard University following an agreement that will see PhD students and academics supported to do research at the prestigious institution as part of the Harvard University Mobility Scheme.

The agreement will provide 25 grants worth up to $4000 each to enable students and staff to develop high-impact research and educational initiatives with their colleagues at Harvard.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) Professor Kathy Belov said that weighed by research impact, Sydney was Harvard鈥檚 most important collaborator in medicine and its seventh most important international collaborator overall.

鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to have Harvard as one of our key collaborators,鈥 Professor Belov said.

In addition to Harvard, the University has also recently signed 13 agreements with some of the best universities in the world, including the University of California, Davis, and the University of Hong Kong, as well as three Chinese universities just last week 鈥 Peking, Shanghai Jiao Tong and Zhejiang.

鈥淭hese are some of the world鈥檚 leading universities, and their willingness to partner with us shows the strength of our name around the world,鈥 Professor Belov said.
