High-achieving postdoctoral researchers from around the world are invited to apply for the University of Sydney 2018 Fellowships.
Fellowship recipients will receive a significant research establishment allowance and a full salary for up to three years. They will also become lifetime members of the Sydney Society of Fellows, a first-of-its-kind in Australia which epitomises聽our commitment to ground-breaking research and scholarship.
Applications are encouraged from all disciplines, with recipients able to work with one of our 10 whole-of-university that are focused on some of the greatest challenges of our time, as well as our leading faculties and schools.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Professor Duncan Ivison said in the past seven years, the University has invested more than $1 billion in multidisciplinary research and more than $1.7 billion pumped into infrastructure, including cutting-edge research equipment.
鈥淲e鈥檙e investing in research at an unprecedented level 鈥� in not only infrastructure, but in our people. We have several new internal funding schemes and are working on new mentoring and training programs that support researchers at every stage of their careers," said Professor Ivison.

鈥淲e want to support the next generation of research leaders to fulfil their potential and contribute to positive societal change.鈥�
Successful candidates will reside in Sydney for the duration of their fellowship and actively participate in the Sydney Society of Fellows鈥� activities: including present their work in Society seminars, participate in and organise reading groups and workshops, help mentor research students and initiate multidisciplinary research.
