Members of theÌýHouse of Representatives Standing Committee on Agriculture and Industry Inquiry into Agricultural InnovationÌýwill hear from representatives from the University of Sydney working on projects in agricultural innovation.
The following University of Sydney representatives will address the hearing:
They will discuss a wide range of research into agricultural innovation, including the use of robotic andÌýsensorÌýtechnology to assist farmers with weed detection and harvesting and monitoring livestock. Representatives will also address strategies to diversify Australia’s agricultural industries to better tap into emerging export markets in the region, as well as developments in the use of big data and technology to help the industry manage major challenges like water shortage, pests and disease.
