Jane Thogersen has been working with museum collections for almost two decades, with a particular interest in building engagement and access across multiple environments, collection types and platforms. Her interest in object-based life-long learning particularly focuses on the way university collections can support meaningful engagement through innovative and cross-disciplinary approaches for students and teams.

Jane joined the Chau Chak Wing Museum in 2020 as Academic Engagement Curator, embracing the opportunity to develop and deliver award-winning curriculum-linked learning programs for students across all Faculties and Schools on campus. This has now expanded to include designing and facilitating Art of Teamwork programs for external organisations and groups.听

Prior to joining CCWM, Jane鈥檚 work included: managing museum collections, integration of collections into teaching, research and special projects, curating exhibitions, primary and secondary school education programs and public outreach, integration of 3D technologies and engagement programs for people living with dementia in Aged Care and the community. She has also sat on several industry committees and working groups and currently sits on the Committee for the Council of Australian University Museums and Collections (CAUMAC).
