Ground-breaking partnership with WentWest leads to new lecturer appointed at Sydney Medical School
The University of Sydney鈥檚听Faculty of Medicine and Health听补苍诲听, the Primary Health Network (PHN) in Western Sydney, are delighted to welcome Dr Liliana Laranjo (MD, MPH, PhD) to the inaugural role of Senior Lecturer in Community and Primary Health Care Practice at the Sydney University Medical School.

Liliana is an Early Career Researcher and Medical Practitioner who trained in Portugal as a General Practitioner and completed qualifications in Public Health (MPH from Harvard) and in Health Informatics (PhD with a Dean鈥檚 Award, University of Lisbon). She has held an academic appointment with Macquarie University before joining the University鈥檚 Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre (DHCRC), and the Westmead Applied Research Centre (WARC) as a Research Fellow in Digital Health.

Dr Laranjo said, "I am very excited and eager to start this new position, where I will be able to lead a research agenda at the intersection of Primary Care and Digital Health, with a strong focus on real-world implementation and improving outcomes for the community."

Liliana will take up the new role from mid-May and work across both institutions. She will continue her roles in WARC and the Digital Health CRC.
