These are among the questions we鈥檒l explore in what should be an entertaining and educational Sydney Ideas Health Forum.
鈥淭here鈥檚 plenty of anecdotal evidence suggesting dog ownership is beneficial for human health but there鈥檚 little solid evidence to back the claim,鈥 says Professor Stamatakis, who heads a major intended to answer a host of questions on the health benefits of dog ownership.
鈥淒og ownership is popular in Australia with over 40 percent of households owning at least one dog,鈥 says Associate Professor Stamatakis, 鈥渟o our findings should be helpful to millions of people.
