National Reconciliation Week plays an integral role in the University’s cultural life. It is a time to reflect on our action towards achieving reconciliation and for celebrating the voices and influence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across our campuses.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
All In reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people.
Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.
We recognise the path to reconciliation is a collective responsibility. In 2026 we launched our refreshed theOne Sydney, Many PeopleStrategy 2025-2032 (pfd, 7MB),outlining the University's approach to transformational education, researchexcellenceand deeperpartnerships.
We invite our community to join us in our commitment by improving your, learning about theaction we are takingas a University and learning about the significance of repatriation for reconciliation.
Events and programming to be shared here closer to National Reconciliation Week.
The panel will share their insights and reflect on this year’s National Reconciliation Week theme of ‘All In'. This year's theme reminds us that that reconciliation is not a passive activity and along this journey Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ have been carrying the weight of championing, explaining and leading for too long.
